Why it’s so great to be a butterscotch martini girl…
And it’s not all about the martinis!
Something happened last night…I went to my group meeting with the butterscotch girls, and as soon as I sat down, they bombarded me about the new story I’d put up for them to critique. They are all convinced I have found the proverbial “high concept hook” worthy of a bigger publisher and best selling status.
Even if that doesn’t happen, it’s so fantastic to have a group of peers who believe in me! And I also have the comfort and encouragement that they will be right with me through every step of trying to take this story to another level. They’ll help brainstorm, edit, and give me suggestions to improve the quality of my writing.
We truly want to see each other succeed. I feel sorry for writers who don’t have that!

Hey there Brit-I think that you said it all-to have a group of writing friends who encourage-support and want to help you succeed is like gold dust. Critique partners like that are very hard to find. I wish all the best and lots of success and its wonderful to know that there are so many fantastic fellow writers out there.
I am aspiring still-I have been writing for my own pleasure for years-I am still too terrified of submitting and I have not found a critique group that I gel with just yet-but you have inspired me.
All the best for 2007
