The Birth of the Butterscotch Martini Girls
Hi everyone! I’d like to thank the lovely Brit Blaise for getting this site up and running for us. Everything looks great, Brit!
Our critique group began in October 2004 with five unpublished authors and a dream of being published. We met religiously at Ray’s Pizza and supported each other through first drafts, rewrites, submissions, rejections, weight loss, weight gain, poor word choice, and a host of other things. :) A few members have come and gone, but over time we have gelled into a close-knit adhesive group of wonderful authors, both published and still aspiring.
Somewhere along the way, we made friends with the bartenders at the various places we met after Ray’s, and we found out that Bamboo Club makes excellent butterscotch martinis! And since you are what you…er…drink - a name for our beloved critique group was born. 
So, welcome to the wild and wacky world of the Butterscotch Martini Critique Group!

We haven’t been back to Ray’s in a long time, it’s changed locations. Even though it was 2004 when we started, it seems like longer. In a good way! Alexis, we still miss you!

My DH and I went to Rays last Fri. That was the first time I’d been back since we stopped meeting there. The place had changed locations as Brit said and even though it was nice somehow it wasn’t at all the same. Ah, the good ol’ days. We’ve come a long way, some more than others. but still…it’s all been good.

Crystal - great blog! Yeah - the name grew on us as we became known for what we drank during crit group…lol. In case you’re interested - they are made from Buttershots, Bailey’s & a splash of Vodka
Of course, some caramel dribbled in the bottom of the glass before it’s poured makes it even better!
