Reach and touch someone….
Okay that can be a scary thought when you’re around a bunch of Romance Writers. You never know what they may come up with in their vivid imaginations. I’ve recently had the chance to speak with an old friend and a long lost cousin. We talked about memories, life, and dreams. I discovered that both of them have always wanted to write. But life’s happiness, tragedies and day to day toil stopped them in their tracks. They asked me a million questions about my writing journey. I shared with them my fears, my experiences, and my need to publish my first book. It was amazing seeing the light in their eyes. Something sparked inside of them. I hit some basic need deep inside that we all have and that is the craving to get out of a dead end job and be happy working at something we love. Then it’s not work, it’s a part of ourselves that we have to explore. So now I help both of them on their journey, gently guiding them to find their writing voice, to experience the love of “what if a fish became a mermaid and made love to a vampire” and to be happy. I ask each of you to reach out and have conversations about your journey and what it means to you. You never know who might be listening and it may change them. Isabella
