How NOT to become published

I was thinking of all the things I’ve done in my quest to become published and I thought a list was in order of what NOT to do. Of course, anyone can become published by doing some of the items on the list, but I truly thinking it is detremental.

Do not join a critique group.
Do not enter contests.
Do not grab those opportunities that are given to you.
Do not take constructive critisim.
Do not submit your work to editors or agents.
Do not finish that book.
Do not read.
Do not learn the craft.

The list can go on and on, but I think when it really comes down to it, you have to have the passion to want it. Anything is possible, if a person wants it bad enough.

    Amen!

  2. Bev Says:

Absolutely! You can have anything you want. You just have to want it so badly you can taste it. Stay focused, motivated and learn, learn, learn about your goal.
