Erotic Paranormal Historical Romance - Short Story

English Countryside, 1850

Young Winifred lusts after her personal tutor, Charles Thomas. Ever since she watched him cavorting with the upstairs maid, Winifred can’t help but want Charles to teach her more than just reading and writing. With both of her parents dead, Winifred has no one to talk to about the intimacies between a man and woman. She has decided that Mr. Thomas will be the one to teach her about sexual desires.

Charles would love nothing more than to show Winifred about the pleasures of the flesh but he is not a normal man. He is known as a guardian who must watch over the high faery-in-waiting, which Winifred happens to be. As an invisible, a half-human, half-angel, his ultimate goal is to get into heaven, and Winifred may be the key to this because she has untapped powers that she is not aware of which can help him. But Charles cannot keep his body’s reaction to Winifred under control; even though it may not be right, he will tutor her in the ways she has been asking him.

Charles treats her with a gentle hand, but before they can go further in Winifred’s instructions, her cousin Elliott comes asking for her hand in marriage. But Elliott also has a secret; he is barely human and as close to evil as one can be. Charles must protect Winifred from her greedy cousin and still find the time to complete their intimate lessons. But as more evil starts to stalk Winifred, she begins to realize how powerful she really is and how her feelings for Charles have grown.

There is a little bit of everything in A LADY’S LESSONS, from some heated love scenes, a willful heroine and a hero who are at odds about what is right and whether Charles should act on his desires regardless of the consequences. I found Charles to be a hero very worthy of Winifred’s love, and I wanted to applaud her for her honesty and gumption.

For a fast and sensual read, Brit Blaise’s A LADY’S LESSONS is recommended.

Birthday thoughts…

Hi everyone! Today is my thirty-ninth birthday, and thanks to my wonderful son and husband, I’ve had a totally enjoyable, if not outright, lazy day. :)
I don’t feel like I’m thirty-nine, but then I’m not quite sure what that is supposed to feel like…LOL. I’m just thankful to have the opportunity to spend another year on this earth with my friends and family. Another year to write, watch my son grow, make memories with my husband and challenge myself and try to make the world around me a better place.

If you’d like to take a look at my Thursday Thirteen from yesterday, the subject was 13 Things I’d Like to Do Before I turn 40 next year! :) You can check it out at http://www.tinagerow.com/blog.

I’m off to continue enjoying the day!

Paris ghost experience

I just went to Paris this past September with one of my nieces. She is a sensitive like me. So we were both wondering what kind of trouble we would get into as both of us would be seeing dead people. LOL

Here are the experiences we had in our hotel, Hotel Aubusson. This is a very old mansion converted into a 50 room hotel. It’s located on the left bank across the river from the Louve.

• We were taking the 2 person elevator from the lobby to our floor. When the door opened, we both started to walk out and immediately took a step back. I saw a woman wearing white and I thought I would run into her so I took a step back. My niece saw something but wasn’t sure what it was. When we looked again, nothing was there. No woman, no person, nothing but an empty hallway. That took us back. This all happened within 2 minutes.
• In our room on the first night we both felt something in the room between our beds. When we talked, we found out that both of us saw something about 3 feet high, black and it didn’t have human energy. It didn’t scare us or have a negative feel so it didn’t worry us. But for the first 2 nights, we felt something walking between our beds, poke us and sit on the beds. It kept both of us up. I had to put the white light around the room and us so that we could get some rest. We were not bothered by it again.
• We also saw a man sitting in one of the chairs in the corner and my niece smelled a woman’s perfume by the table where she was doing homework. I’m allergic to perfume so it wasn’t us.

This was just one of many times we saw things. We had a great time and it was nice sharing what we saw and felt. It’s hard sometimes when you’re the only one that can see things. Hope you enjoyed our experiences.

My back and other issues this week…

It’s been one of those weeks. I was sick earlier in the week, and by sick, I mean I felt horrible and my head seemed to weigh about ten million pounds. A sinus infection, which is never ever fun. By yesterday, I was feeling much better even though my voice is still a little scratchy here and there.

So, it should’ve been smooth sailing, right?

Yeah. Then comes laundry.

What the heck do I mean by that?

Well, I was signing at the Tempe Arts Festival all weekend, so I didn’t get a chance to do laundry, which I usually do on the weekends when the electricity rates go down. So, since most everything in the house was dirty, I waited until after 9pm last night and got to work on the laundry.

I was on the last load I was going to do before heading off to bed. It was about 1am and I was pretty excited that I had made good progress. I leaned over to grab a pile of shirts and put them in the washer when my foot slipped on some coat hangers that were under the pile of laundry I was standing on, and OUCH!

A pretty sharp pain shot from the back of my hip straight up and down my body until it made me nearly dizzy. I stood up and twisted a little, and although it was sore, I figured I tweaked it, but no harm done. So, I came out into the living room, folded my towels and sorted some socks and the headed off to bed.

Laying down was a little uncomfortable, but it wasn’t horrible, so I put my cold feet on my husband (that’s what husbands are for, right?) and went to sleep.

About 2am, I rolled over and was wide awake by the time I had recovered from the sharp pain my wrenching move caused. OUCH! I got up and took a hot bath with epsom salts, and my hubby massaged me and put icy hot on me and got me some Ibuprofen. And to make a long story short - I finally got to sleep around 4am, and woke up about 10:30 this morning.

After only a few hours of waking up today I knew I’d really done something to my hip, so I called the doctor who can’t get me in until tomorrow, and even then, not with my normal doctor. So, I’ve spent the rest of the day limping around, sitting on a heating pad and trying not to wrench my hip any more than I’ve already done. I even had to cancel a Pampered Chef show I was doing tomorrow and Saturday.

You would think that would’ve given me plenty of time to write, but I didn’t get a whole lot of writing done today since I can’t sit in one position too long without having to shift around to a more comfortable one. Sigh! Triangle of Seduction really needs to be finished by the end of the month, and I’ve got tons more to write on it. Oh well, I’ll keep plugging.

Here’s hoping that when I go to the doctor tomorrow that I haven’t done anything serious to my hip, that he gives me some good pain meds and it heals super fast!! AND that my writing kicks into high gear.

So, there’s my fun week. How about anyone else? Hopefully much more fun stuff than I’ve been doing…LOL
