A Fuzzy tree????
My hands are shaky and my knees are weak
I can’t seem to stand on my own two feet
Who do you thank when you have such luck?
Hard to believe, but it’s been 50 years since Elvis Presley’s song “All shook Up” was at the top of the charts. It reached the pinnacle of Billboard magazine’s charts in April of 1957, and remained there for eight weeks.
I’m in love
I’m all shook up!
Elvis, who died 30 years ago this August, shook the American music scene like no other pioneer of rock-and-roll. he became known as “The King of Rock-and-Roll,” or simply “The King.”
A well I bless my soul
What’s wrong with me?
I’m itching like a man on a fuzzy tree.
Fuzzy tree? I don’t know, must be a southern species or something. Crazy lyrics, I know, but I was turning 13 and Elvis was hip.:-) I played his 45’s over and over on my portable record player till I just about wore em out. And many a night I lay on my bed dreaming of a man I’d someday marry, who would, of course, look like Elvis. The beginning of my fascination with the bad boys in the band. Sigh.
Anyway, there’s no real point to this blog other than I couldn’t let August roll by without paying my respects to “The King”. Thankyouverymuch. Dani
