Cranking out the spiders…

I’ve been really busy lately…playing spider solitare. Most of the time I take it off my computers, so I won’t be tempted. I can’t remove it from this one without taking out more than I want.

That means I need to use will power. Crap. If I had any, I’d be a size eight.

I finished the edits for my October story, Slayers Inc. My editor gushed over it. I hope she’s right, because I love the characters. Loved. Loved. Loooovvved them! But then again, I almost always love them. I’m constantly being asked if one of the cast will get their own story. With Slayers Inc. I really want to continue with the protaganist. Since she found her HEA (happily-ever-after) how can I do it?

Decisions. Decisions. Plots and characters. My mind is buzzing.

Ghostie experiences

On Wednesday’s I blog about ghosties and what goes bump in the night. But after having breakfast with my sister-in-law I had to share a ghostie story. Go to my blog and check it out.

Deadline Stress & Other Maladies

Since my deadline is causing me major stress right now, you have two choices - you can go back to my post last Friday and re-read that and be uber impressed that I actually blogged on something informational while I’m having my stress meltdown (Rationalization - always a favorite :) Or, you can just let me remind you that my contest for a signed copy of Ceremony of Seduction is over next week. I will have my kiddo draw the winner at random early next week from among all those who are subscribed to my monthly Tina/Cassie email newsletter.

If you’d like to subscribe, head on over to my MySpace page and look down the right hand side (Under the glittery thong and the slideshow of my cover and pic) and you can subscribe right there :)
Anyway, think productive story thoughts for me, will ya? I’m off to Starbucks with my iPOD and laptop and will be there until my butt falls asleep in the chair. (Talk about leaving you all with an ice pick visual picture! LOL)

Oh, Yes! Another great review for Burn Baby Burn!

I googled my name and was shocked to find out I had another review out there for BURN BABY BURN by Romance at Heart Magazine. Better than that, the reveiwer had some nice things to say about my story.

“A short story published by Wild Rose Publication, Burn Baby Burn is sure to make readers wiggle with contained ardor. Ms. Logan’s indisputable characterizations are engaging as they fuel this incredibly sexy tale. Readers, looking for an arousing short story that will stay with you well after finishing? Then pick up Burn Baby Burn, you won’t be disappointed.”

Time - enemy or friend?

While waiting (all day) at the dealer to get my car fixed, I had the great opportunity to sit down, relax and read the Romance Writers Report (RWR). Some of the articles about time; started me thinking about writing time, email time, loop time, website time and myspace time (and there is more).

That led me down the path of my writer’s journey. For the last two years I’ve been learning about writing (e.g., formatting, POV, plotting, pacing, etc.). In those years, I also worked full time at a day job, moved 3 times, had a messy divorce, re-establish contact with old friends, made new ones, re-introduced myself to my family, traveled, went to conferences and found myself. That didn’t leave a whole lot of physical and emotional time for writing.

With the Universe’s blessing, I’ve been able to calm my life, center myself and give thanks for the journey there. I’ve finished my manuscript and am plotting the second one.

Time,,,hmm. You think it is a hindrance and your enemy, but to me (in hind sight) it’s a blessing. Without time, I would not have found my voice. Without time, I would not have healed. Without time, I would not have the knowledge about writing and about the business of writing.

Now I’m getting it, what it means to me to be a writer and what time commitment I’m willing to give to make it happen. So if I can encourage others it would be to take your time, find your voice, don’t get discouraged because the Universe provides and let time be your friend not your enemy. Isabella
